A long time ago, while I was in high school, I had a teacher that spoke to us about being part of the herd. Included in his talk he mentioned that what government fears the most, are people who can think for themselves, ask difficult questions, and refuse to step to the beat of the latest drum, especially if the drummer is the government.
This teacher was perhaps the one that got me interesting in politics, history, social history, and natural history. In university I took more history courses, including revolutionary events and how they began. One book I bought that I have used over and over again is Robert Brady's book "The Spirit and Structure of German Fascism". The book was published in 1937 with Brady doing his research from 1930 to 1936. At the end of his book he published a warning of the power of fascism, not just in the case of Germany, but how fascism can melt it's way into any democracy if the people allow it. His words are just as true than as they are now.
In reading the book, I discovered how close Canada was to the beginnings of fascism, and that was in 1984 when I was working for as a special constable. Fast forward to 2021, I have seen the truth of Brady's book coming close to fulfillment as Canada and Ontario move into the realm of authoritarian rule.
People have been and still are being encouraged to report their neighbours for violations of the present "Emergency Measures" issued by the province of Ontario. Demands are being made for the public to comply with the instructions, issued policies, and now unconditional vaccinations, demanded by the government of Ontario.
Every aspect of control of the population has been perpetrated by the government as written about in Brady's book over eighty five years ago. The authoritarian rule of the present government in Ontario has followed the pages of the book unknowingly, as I am sure no one in the government has even heard of the book let alone read the book. The demands made on the people by the government includes snitch lines where reporting your neighbours, family members, and others whom are found to be behaving against government rules, without giving your name.
Now that the vaccination certifications are going to be officially issued, information gathering has begun digitally as digital apps are being encouraged to be downloaded on your cell phones. But that is not all. The government is now suggesting that your driver's license, your health card, your insurance information also be down loaded onto the government app from your cell phone. It doesn't stop there. Banks are requesting that your accounts, visa cards, money transfers, etc. also be down loaded onto your cellphone. All this information is now on your cell phone and you are expected to use this digital app. for everything you do. In other words, the gathering of information is now in the hands of the government and others as they use your cell phone to prove you have been vaccinated.
The government knows that this is going on. They know that even with their assurance that your information is secure, every piece of information you have on your cell phone is collectable and there is nothing you can do about it, if you comply with government demands. The majority of the people are doing just that. If any book was so close to describing the authoritarian rule, Robert Brady's book is it.
Another thing my high school teacher taught us was that in general people want to be told what to do by their governments. He was so right in that. We can see that over and over again, in how people respond to phrases like; "we are in this together.; it is for the good of the people.; the security of the people is important.; everyone needs to feel secure and safe." In hearing this, people automatically believe the government is working hard to protect society. But at what cost?
It has already been established by the government that personal freedoms and liberties must give way to the security and health safety of the public. With this statement the government has said that once this is all over, everything will return back to normal. That my friends is pure unadulterated bull shit. What freedoms and liberties have have been surrendered now, will not be seen again. The majority of the population has accepted this because they are willing to be led by the nose into unconditional compliance. In other words, people want to be led without thinking.
At the present time, restaurant and bar owners are being told they must enforce government rules concerning the vaccination passport. They are being told they must restrict the use of their establishments by those who are not vaccinated. The public is being encouraged to report those who do not comply and the fines are ridiculous and now the threat of being shut down by the government is also on the table. If you do not comply with government demands, you will loose your license to operate as a business along with the loss of any other and all licenses that go with your business. You either comply or the government will shut you down.
With out the vaccination passport, a person is restricted as to where they can go. The idea is to force compliance with government demands. This is fascism. This is government sponsored Apartheid. No matter how you slice the bread, authoritarian rule is hear to stay and people are willing to comply with it to be part of the herd without thinking. As a member of the herd, you are expected to report those whom you see violating government policies and rules. This includes your friends and family if they are not complying with government demands.
