ISIS has executed a third person, but no one has really talked about the 1000s of other people this cowardly organization have beheaded, crucified, or shot to death.

It seems that "foreigners" receive more attention than that fact that many Christians living in Syria and Iraq have been executed by this band of cowards who need to hide behind their masks.   This group has even been known to have beheaded children.  What kind of animals are these people?

This group has become so radical and threatening to even other Arab states that a coalition of nations of which some Arab states have joined in have come together and declared war on this band of cowards.

I am sure that more hostages will be executed as these kind of people believe that they are making a point.  It's not the point that they think they are making.  Their propaganda machine has recruited Islamic youth to come and join them.  They show a different organization on these web pages, showing people fighting for the cause of Islam, riding in back of pick up trucks with machine guns and all smiles.  The reality is that ISIS are lying but by the time the young recruits get there and discover the brutality of this group it is too late.

The call has been made by the United States to bring the world into combat formation against this group.  It should be interesting to see if the world indeed takes up the cause and wages war against these cowards.  The world needs to know what ISIS is really all about.

Ontario rural communities will the biggest loosers under the liberal government.

There you have it!  With further jobs leaving the province of Ontario, with further people looking to other provinces and countries for jobs, this liberal government continues to destroy what was once a productive and powerful province.

Since the liberal party took office under the leadership of McGunity over 150,000 people have left the province.  Over 50,0000 jobs have been lost in this province, and they expect a further 30,000 jobs to be lost by the middle of 2015.    On top of this energy costs have increased and while people have literally turned off their hydro from the power box into their homes, the liberals claim that all is going well.

This isn't over yet either.  With the determination to bankrupt this province, the Wynn government claims they will balance the books by the end of 2016.  They only way they can do this is to raise taxes and service fees as well as increase fees at the gas pumps.

The reason why the liberals continue to win elections is because the majority of the seats and riding are located in the GTA (greater toronto area) where you can run a dead horse and win as long as liberal is stamped on the hoof.

This government is not done with rural Ontario yet.

What would a National Inquiry into missing and murdered First Nations Women accomplish

Prime Minister Harper was asked why the government has not created a Royal Inquiry into the disappearance and murder of Native women.   His answer was that these acts and incidences are crimes against people and therefore the police investigations are good enough (my paraphrase basically)

Of course liberal leaning individuals have made all sorts of comments on the "person" of the Prime Minister instead of the government policy.  The comments have nothing to do with the answer nor the question.  All the comments I have read so far on this story are nothing more than comments made by idiots.

I have a question though:   What would a Royal Commission or Inquiry achieve?  First of all we know that many First Nation women are abused, murdered, and go missing.  The reported crimes and incidences are there.  The investigations often come to an end for one reason or another - mostly because the investigators have nothing more to go on that would push their investigations further.

To say that these murders and disappearances are a "social pandemic" does not even come close to finding a result or solving these crimes.  To say that these events are a "social pandemic" then so are the murders and disappearance of non-native victims as well.   Gang violence - are these social pandemics as well and if so where is, if any, a Royal Commission or Inquiry into gang violence and what did it accomplish.

Yes there was a study done, but what were the parameters and what did this study accomplish?

As I write this post - a new report came over the radio that another First Nations woman has gone missing.  Again is this a crime?  Is this an incident of special significance?   There are reports of non-native missing persons as well.  So again - Is this a social pandemic? What would an Inquiry accomplish that we already don't know?

These are just some of my thoughts that I have.

Mental Illness - Something that Society yet does not understand.

Robin Williams is just the latest in the many many many people who have taken their lives due to some form of mental illness.  Robin Williams will be missed by many for his wit, for his slap stick humour, for his ability to make people laugh.  He will be missed by many and by all who saw him as an individual who engaged people in his characters.
Society  has no real grasp of what Mental Illness is.  Society has no real grasp of what causes Mental Illness.  We struggle to understand the effects of the many varieties of mental illness, how it develops in the individual, and why the outcome is always (in many cases) appears to be suicide.

Depression is the main cause of mental illness.  We really don't know why depression does what it does.  It has been studied, it has been analyzed, it has been drug prescribed and yet mental illness is the leading killer of people with mental illness.

There is a lot of work to be done, but we as individuals need to try to understand depression.  We need to understand how it destroys lives and how it cripples families.  Instead of pity for those who suffer, we need to understand these individuals and learn how to help them deal with depression.

Depression can strike anyone, at any time, for any reason, and we need to understand what is going on and help the person deal with these problems.

There's a lot more that I need to write but I also need to learn more.
